With degrees in both movement and art, my works have always tried to explore expressions of spirituality through symbols and archetypes, sometimes consciously and some others unconsciously. Art can be an inner dialogue between us and our interior world or a dialogue between our surroundings and ourselves.
Through this project, I tried to point out, first to myself, that certainty is an illusion, which is created by specific 'self-healing' mechanisms of our minds, like that of 'repetition' and 'habitation', based on theoretical approaches of fear and anxiety. Only by changing certainty's context, we can achieve a true intuition of expression as artists and Spirals, as a form, have been able to lift myself temporarily out of my overwhelming need to control my fear. Art can be a window into the psyche and mind of the artist and portray what is of most importance to the artist, but this process is only one part of the true value of art.
